Aikido is a Japanese art which outwardly presents itself as a set of fairly elaborate techniques based on the natural laws of the circle and the spiral.
Based on the principle of non-opposition, aikido is first and foremost a system of education and pacification which, through a partner opponent, offers to people the possibility to study themself.
By observing his tensions, his conditionings and his limitations, the aikidoka will become aware of what encumbers his functionality and his availability in the moment. Thus developing new capacities of adaptation, both physically and mentally, a new presence emerges, a presence marked by organicity and spontaneity.
